About The Condition

Behçet's Syndrome

Behçet's syndrome is an uncommon condition. Patients may present in a variety of ways which can make the diagnosis of the condition challenging. Symptoms may include mouth and genital ulcers, eye inflammation and arthritis, although many areas may be affected. No diagnostic test currently exists for Behçet's syndrome. Treatments target the abnormal immune response and include agents such as steroids, azathioprine, and biologic agents.
